Kinchaku Duo Cleanser Set
The Kinchaku Duo Cleanser Set from MOSAIK is a mindful cleansing ritual in which each element works together to purify, balance, and awaken the skin from the inside out.
The inspiration behind the Kinchaku Duo Cleanser Set comes from the layered structure of the kimono, where balance and precision are essential. In Japan, the kimono is seen as a symbol of meticulous craftsmanship and thoughtful design—values that shape MOSAIK’s limited edition set. Each set is presented in a handcrafted kinchaku pouch sewn from recycled vintage kimonos. No two pouches are alike, and every stitch carries traces of tradition and skill.
How to use
Apply a small amount of cream or scrub with warm water to the hands. Rub together to create a creamy lather, then gently massage over the face and neck in circular motions, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly. Use Duo Cleanser Set 1–2 times per week in the evening routine. For oily skin, it can be used more frequently, around 2–3 times per week. Hydrating Cream Cleanser can be used in your everyday routine.

The Story Behind
the Ritual
For MOSAIK’s founder Emi, it all began with the stories of her great-grandmother Aki Takahashi. Aki lived in the small mountain town of Gifu in Japan and was a kimono maker, a tradition that requires patience, precision and a deep respect for the material. Her work was not simply about sewing a garment but about creating something that carried a sense of dignity and care.
As a child, Emi watched how Aki approached each piece of fabric with the same rhythmic movements and quiet focus, how every layer of the kimono was built to create balance and harmony. These memories became her first encounter with Japanese design philosophy, where every detail matters and nothing is left to chance.
When MOSAIK was founded, Emi brought this philosophy into the world of skincare. The handcrafted kinchaku bags, sewn from recycled vintage kimonos, are a direct tribute to Aki. In the same spirit, the contents of the Kinchaku Duo Cleanser Set were created: a cleanser that preserves the skin’s balance, a scrub that renews it, an organic cotton towel that gently enhances the results and a tea that supports well-being from within. Together, they form a ritual that honors the very principles Aki worked by, care, precision and respect in every step.
